Christmas 2010

Our Christmas this year was so much fun. The kids were more fun than ever! Oaklee woke up at 5! she went straight to the living room and saw all her toys from Santa. Then about 5 minutes later she walked into our room announced that Santa had come and climbed into bed and fell back asleep. It was so cute. About an hour later Max came out of his room and went straight to the living room.....only he never returned. So we slugishly made our way to the presents and found Max with Buzz and Woody in one hand and trying to play with Oaklee's toys with the other. Max then proceeded to open not only his but everyones presents. It was hilarious. Justin's parents came over to watch the kids open everything. We also drove to Cedar and spent some time and had dinner at my parents house. It was fun to have everyone there. Here are some pictures in no particular order.

Oaklee's Dance recital

Ok so this post is just cause Oaklee is so funny. She had her very first dance recital this December. If you know Oaks at all you know she has quite the free spirit. At first she got out there and wouldn't do anything but smile so when they started their second dance I shouted "Oaks dance" to which she responded "ok mom" and away she went it was so funny....she is the one on the far left. She completely does her own thing.

Also here are a couple cute pictures of her and her cute cousin Cloee in their costumes.

Thanksgiving in Colorado

We had the opporutnity to go to Colorado for Thanksgiving. We were able to visit with both sides of my family. The Buggs and the Garcias
This is a picture of my cute Grandma Bugg with all of us Buggs

Here we are with My adorable Grandma Garcia

My dad took Justin, the kids and I to a little amusement park we used to go to when we were kids called The North Pole. It was FREEZING. Oaklee and Max didn't seem to mind though. we didn't end up staying too long though for fear of frostbite.

Halloween

We had no ideas for Halloween for our kids so when we went up to Salt Lake we walked into Old Navy to shop a little (not for Halloween) and Max ran straight to the dragon. He thought it was a dinosaur and walked around the whole store growling and showing people. Needless to say we couldn't leave the store without it. Oaklee couldn't be left out so she chose a giraffe. I tried to tell her we would find her something cooler but she didn't want to hear it. Giraffe she would be.

We also made a trip to the pumpkin patch. Our friend Haley came over to carve pumpkins with our kids.

Oaklee's 3rd Birthday

Little Oaks had her 3rd birthday in July and we decided to throw her a fairy party. 1st of all because she loves Tinkerbell, 2nd because we spent so much getting her dressed up at Disneyland we HAD to use that dress at least one more time. So we invited all her cousins over and had a great time

California....

This summer Justins Mom decided to take her family on an amazing vacation. So she booked a beach house in San Clemente and away we all went. We bought city passes and had a blast. The city pass is basically the best thing ever invented because it lets you go to all the parks for less money. on our way

We had it all planned out to do 3 days in Disneyland, a day at Sea World, A day at San Diego Zoo, A day at the beach, and maybe Universal if we were still sane by then.

The pool in our backyard.

Well unfortunately things don't always go according to plan (in fact that trip was very very interesting). A couple of days into our trip we got the news that Steele Henrie (Marilyn's Dad) had passed away. So the next day Marilyn and Craig made the long journey home and we ended up cutting our trip short to be able to be home for the funeral and family.

Despite everything though we did have a great time. We spend most of the time with Stoney, Lisa, Wendy, and Heidi. We had a blast at Disneyland and Sea World and although the beach wasn't that warm we had fun there too.

I'm terrible

Ok.... so I swear I am the worst at blogging. At first I was really into it and did it often, but now I never get around to it. I hope I can be better.

A lot has happened since December(my last post). Max had his first Christmas and it was so great. It was so fun seeing Oaklee's face light up when she saw her presents and so funny to see Max be so confused as to why we were making him tear open paper.

Another thing that we did was play in the snow. Now if any of you know me you know I would rather die than go out in the snow..... So I sent Justin out with the kids. Oaklee was all set but we weren't able to find any snow pants for Max. Justin suggested we use some of Oaklee's from last year..... I warned him they were pink

The most exciting thing that happened is that Max turned 1! Wow I can't believe how fast his first year went. He is such a blessing in our lives. He has a smile that can melt your heart.

Wendy made him the neatest cake for his birthday. I always call him my little monkey and so she made him a monkey cake.

She also made the little one on the right just for him. She is amazing what would we do without Wendy.

At first Max wanted nothing to do with it...

Then he realized it was chocolate

He had a great time

The end result

Straight to the bath!

it was so much fun!

Our whole family was able to come celebrate with us. It was so nice to have them all there to support my little Max. Grandma even bought Oaklee a present so she wouldn't feel left out it was so cute. I just love being a mom
